Pre-configured for Uganda. Built to flex for anywhere.

Academia Pro ships ready for Uganda schools — zero configuration needed for the features they use every day. And when a school in Kenya, Zimbabwe, the UK, or Papua New Guinea needs it to work differently, it does. It's a matter of configuration, not rebuilding.

Out of the box

What arrives ready for Uganda schools?

Every feature below is pre-configured on day one. No setup. No customisation required. This is how the system works because this is how Uganda schools work.

01

MTN MoMo + Airtel Money

Fee payments via MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money are integrated from day one. Parents pay from their existing mobile money app. Payments hit the fees module automatically. No notebook, no phone calls, no manual reconciliation.

02

UNEB exam grading

PLE (P7): 4-point aggregate, calculated automatically. UCE (S4): 9-point scale, division summary generated. UACE (S6): principal and subsidiary subject points for university entry. All three are pre-built and mapped to the correct class level.

03

3-term billing engine

Billing runs on Term 1, Term 2, Term 3. Not monthly. Fee structures, instalments, reminders, carry-forwards, and end-of-term reports all use the school term as their fundamental unit.

04

Uganda national curriculum

All four levels pre-loaded: Thematic (P1–P3), Activity-Based (P4–P7), Lower Secondary (S1–S4), A-Level (S5–S6). Class names, subject lists, and lesson plan formats pre-configured.

05

PAYE + NSSF + LST payroll

All three statutory deductions auto-calculated: PAYE from URA tax bands, NSSF at 5% employee and 10% employer, LST for local councils. Payslips print with the correct field labels.

06

EMIS / MoES reporting

Generate enrolment returns in the exact format required for the Ministry of Education and Sports portal. No reformatting. No manual entry into government forms.

Configurable

It doesn't stop at Uganda.

The same system that ships ready for a Uganda school can be configured for a school in Kenya, Zimbabwe, the UK, or Papua New Guinea. The foundations are the same — what changes is the configuration.

Grading & examinations

The grading system is fully configurable. Any scale — letter grades, percentage bands, points systems, pass/fail, competency levels. Any national exam format can be mapped to the examinations module.

Billing & payment platforms

The billing engine supports any cycle — termly, semesterly, monthly, or custom. Payment integrations extend beyond MTN and Airtel to any provider available in your market.

Curriculum & class structure

Class levels, year groups, subject lists, and curriculum frameworks are all configurable. A school using the British National Curriculum, the Kenyan CBC, or a custom framework sets it up once and the system follows from there.

Payroll & compliance

Statutory deduction types, rates, and labels are configurable per country. PAYE, NSSF, and LST for Uganda. NHIF, NSSF for Kenya. PAYE and NaSS for Papua New Guinea. The payroll module adapts to the legal framework your school operates under.

The principle: Academia Pro is not a Uganda-only product that happens to be used elsewhere. It is a school management platform built with Uganda as the first complete configuration — and designed from the ground up so that any school system can be the next one.

Common questions

The Uganda-specific questions schools ask before they switch.

Is the Uganda curriculum pre-configured?
Yes. Thematic (P1–P3), Activity-Based (P4–P7), Lower Secondary (S1–S4), and A-Level (S5–S6) all ship ready, with Uganda class names pre-loaded: Baby Class, Middle Class, Top Class, P1–P7, S1–S6.
How does PAYE, NSSF, and LST payroll work?
All three statutory deductions are auto-calculated: PAYE from URA tax bands, NSSF at 5% employee and 10% employer, and LST for local councils. Payslips print with the correct field labels and NSSF membership number.
Can I generate an EMIS / MoES enrolment return?
Yes. The Reports module produces enrolment returns in the exact format required for the Uganda Ministry of Education and Sports portal — no reformatting and no manual entry into government forms.
What happens to a student who transfers to another Academia Pro school?
Their full academic history travels with them — attendance, exam results, fees history, and behaviour records. The receiving school sees the complete record without re-entering anything.
Does the mobile app work on low-spec phones?
Yes. The Android-first parent and student app runs on Android 7.0+ with 1GB RAM, with a data-lite mode for 2G and 3G connections. No 4G or expensive handset is required.
Can Academia Pro be configured for schools outside Uganda?
Yes. The grading, billing, curriculum, and payroll modules are all configurable. A school in Kenya, the UK, or elsewhere maps its own exam formats, payment rails, and statutory deductions — it is a matter of configuration, not rebuilding.
